PROTECTION
FORTIBUS will actively protect the person, family and assetts of each of its members against predatory practices by banks, mortgage holders, landlords, other creditors and whenever possible, against any social ills arising because of a member's inability to earn an honest, reasonable living due to age discrimination.

FORTIBUS will run public education programs for individuals - your own family members included - about age-discrimination unemployment and its terrible effects so that instead of turning away from you, they support you in your time of need.

REPRESENTATION
FORTIBUS will represent the interests of its membership in the political, social, economic and commercial arenas. Its membership includes skilled politicial lobbysts and managers, media influencers, economic analysts and others who can develop forceful arguements for our cause and get a hearing for them nationwide to the benefit of our membership.
Representation will include action to protect workers from mass retrenchments, and to stop employer rorts such as company liquidations in which wages and other employee benefits due go unpaid, usually in favour of other, more favoured creditors - dare we say - mates?

ISSUES MANAGEMENT
FORTIBUS promises to bring whatever issues are relevant to age discrimination in the workplace under scrutiny, to analyse them and to develop and implement whatever strategies are neccessary to resolve these issues in favour of our membership.

ORGANISATION
FORTIBUS will develop a formal structure reaching throughout Australia - with special attention to regional areas - that will enable it to better understand and therefore deal with the situations of its membership in terms of Local, State and Federal Government issues, commercial matters, and regional economic development as well as local structural unemployment problems. 

EFFECTIVE, PERSONAL SUPPORT
FORTIBUS will be organised so that each individual member will be in a position to recieve support not only from FORTIBUS centrally, but also through the networking of its local members' groups. Since a significant problem area of unemployment is its pyschological damage - on top of its economic and social problems - we will be arranging locally delivered supports for our members in this area.
Supports in job reskilling, skills updating, life-long education, and work finding will be provided; as well as new business venture start-up supports to those inclined to become their own boss. 

BACK TO WORK
FORTIBUS exists to get persons back to work, whatever their age. Towards this end, it will vigorously lobby Governments and use its media capabilities to influence the development of supportive measures by Government, the public at large and the commercial world itself.
It will also provide coaching in job seeking - in generating effective applications, working up a killer Résumé or CV, learning the tricks of how to interview well, how to follow up on your job application progress, and most important of all - how to keep your head together through all ot the stress and strains of the process.
